style of the 60's and 70's.

Since I'm going green and work with environment friendly stuff,

I switched to energy saver bulbs. I had a hard time finding these.

Finally found, they look just fine even if they're a bit smaller.

Vintage Pioneer Amplifier Obsession

Since I got my first Pioneer Amplifier, I'm obsessed
with the design and impressed with the quality.
Let's start with the "smallest one, this was my first.

the power amp blew off.

I looked for something more slim to connect my TV.
I thought, this might be a good solution.

The Funky Seventies

During the seventies, items often had funky designs
and were super colorful.
One of my favorite was the Weltron model 2001
space ball radio with 8-Track.

At the bottom of the swiveling base is a giant rubber suction cup,
making the radio extremely stabil on a smooth surface.
Although it has a handle which makes it mobile, it is quite heavy.
It's round form and the chrome ring gives it a spaceman look.

Weltron sold a few other models. A rectangular-shaped
radio/8-track set is fairly common, usually at
lower prices than this unusual model.

My wife loves old bicycles same as I do. So we started to look
and tried to find a used vintage bike to pimp.
A friend finally found his sister's bike, from the early seventies,
in his dad's shed.

I decided to disassemble every single part and rebuild it with

a totally new urban style look. Since it was the wish of my wife,

I used a matt baby blue for the frame and the mud guards.

Most of the parts were replaced with nicer
and more functional accessories. At least
my love was delighted when she saw it
and I think it is a cool
urban cruiser

The Mercedes Project

This project was a little bigger and took some time.
A 1972 Mercedes Benz 250 CE. In my opinion a
beautiful car which was up for restoration.

I worked on it with the help of friends but since we're not
really professionals, this takes a lot of time we actually
don't have. The job is now finally...almost done and I guess
it looks quite acceptable.

For perfectionists there's still some work to do but it's
definitely ready to ride. Unfortunately lacking of time
and space, this car will be for sale soon.
